I don't know I haven't been at the club for a while. Would be awesome if it's true, especially if he hung around the club for years. He could become an absolute star of the SAAFL.

Where did you here this news from Dogwatcher?

I was at the Ahern fundraiser at Broadies last week and overheard some blokes talking about Flinders Pk. new coach Jackson. Seems Broadies were very keen to get him but he had already committed to Flinders Park. It seems a pity he has been lost to A1 footy as he was clearly recognised as a very good coach but had trouble with the bar manager at Gepps who is just a loud mouth trouble maker. Flinders Park have certainly gained a very good coach but traditionally have not a lot of money to recruit with and rely on their reputation as a good club to recruit. Be interesting to see what he can achieve with little money. Kilburn on the other hand are throwing money around everywhere and that is Oconnors style. His idea of building a club is all centred around money and thats why Kilburn will never amount to much in the long run. Be a good test to see how the salary cap is adjudged. Word is they are spending in excess of 85k on players alone. Money cant always buy success however just look at Salisbury North.

85k? I hope I get some or that my rich team mates buy me a few beers. O'Conner was around when we won 3 div 1 premierships. If that isn't amounting to much then I'm guessing that you must have had a spectacular career and were one of the speakers at the fundraiser.

My last comment was in jest dinga. I've never known how much we have spent on players apart from my first year in 2004 when from memory I think it was 35k or there abouts.

No-one takes figures like 85k seriously, even if we were all about buying a premiership a think it could be done in div 3 for a lot less than that. Player payments are like what footy nut says about the size of his dick....divide it by two and you're getting close.

Sean Jackson a great coach, one of the best going round in the state.
I Believe two flags at SANFL Reserves Level 99 with Sturt and 2001 Eagles.
Also can confirm the bar manager is a loud mouth at Gepps Cross.
Flinders Park have my vote in 2008.

All I know is that our B-Grade coach is a guy called AJ. Is he related to Wilson? I've heard from a couple of people that AJ is one of the best country footballers they have ever seen. Apparently he is coming back from a knee reco.
