Just started reading a book I bought in Singapore, when I visited the Changi mueseum.
Called "Surviving the sword". All about the POW's treatment at the hand of the Japanese.
Covers ALL the countries.
First 50 odd pages, absolutely captivating...very sad, yet somehow uplifting (in the way the POW's
dealt with the crimes committed against them). Can't wait to get into tonight...
The joy of being on the hill drinking beer cannot be understated
