From all reports the Ramblers have lost Ryan Morris to Lincoln South, and Meningie have lost the other Morris to retirement. Both of those players were in their top 3 players, so that would have to hurt? Realistically it looks as though Jervois and the Imps would be best positioned for a finals showdown again next season.

for someone that plays in the River Murray FL, you dont know too much about the local area do you dutchy??

sorry for assuming. yes it is a very small town, use town losely as there is only a footy oval, netball courts, hall and small pub. Its on the highway to Lameroo, Pinaroo etc. from memory i think they have won 1 game in the last 3 or 4 years (A grade)?? and they pretty much get pumped all year.

would be unsure of where they would get any major money from, especially for someone like Sayers as it is a farming district, and if you werent aware dutchy, there has been a drought for the last few years...

dunno about the racing thing. i think he only has a couple of horses in work

Whats that based on floataboy? Player losses? Inability to replace players due to limited points allocated?

i think they have lost a couple too many but no doubt they will recruit well. they always do

I think it will more so be the fact that other teams will be a lot stronger than this year. the past couple of years there has pretty much only been 3 key teams in the comp, jervois, imps and ramblers. this year that was not as much the case with mid-field teams like mannum and mypo having a few upset wins and getting very close to these top 3.
im thinking that ramblers will drop a bit next year and the other teams will be right in the mix even more so next year.
i dont think it will be so easy for imps to make it next year anyways. even tailem with all of their signings, and past finals experience, would be half a chance. and jervois will be strong again no doubt and you would imagine will defend their title.

it will be awesome for the league too.

i think the jervois v imps grand final may have run its cycle
they had their chances, and blew every one of em...

In fairness to Imps they lost it by a kick with 6 seconds to go last year. We would be talking differently if they won it...

If they had a ruckman they would be a much better team. And you say the older wait is an in an under player which will add some grunt.

They should be around the mark again with Jervois and Mypo, depending on signings for all of the clubs of course.

Give us your thoughts GWW...

I think Imps cant be written off. Obviously we have to see the INs and OUTs before making a judgement, but the Blues have got a lot of depth, and if they hang onto their Port Adelaide connection and pick up 1 or 2 more i think they'll certainly be top 3 material again.

i agree with hanging on to the maggies connection. it might cost the club an absolute packet but without those 2 they would have struggled this year, and surely they will bring plenty with them over the next few years.
havnt heard confirmation that julian wait is coming to the league though.
imps in top 3 a high chance for 08, but maybe not the top 2 ??...

Im led to believe these guys arent getting payed that much.... Also there was the "if you pay monkeys" comment at GF which was obviously directed at Imps recruits in comparison to the Bluds - Imps will always be up there and are capable of picking up players half way through the season as they did this year so you can never write them off.
