3 possible scenarios....

Labor, Liberal, Greens, Democrats? Here's the place to discuss.

3 possible scenarios....

Postby am Bays » Tue Nov 20, 2007 11:05 pm

How much of a chance do you reckon that come Sunday morning....

1) there are no more Democrats in teh senate?

2) Costello is the PM elect i.e. the coalition have 76+ seats but Bennelong isn't one of them....

3) both major parties are on the phone to 1) Tony Windsor or 2) Bob Katter for the vital 1 seat to give them a majority?
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

1. Possible
2. Unlikely to have the 76+ seats even with my vote. :(
3. Reasonably possible.

1). Highly likely. They would more likely than not have gone last election if it had been a full senate election. They've been dying a slow death since Lees helped bring in the GST

2). Highly unlikely. Can't see the Libs getting back 8% in the next days. Be bloody funny though if Howard lost his seat AND the Libs retained power.

3). Highly unlikely and in the name of all I hold dear I sincerly hope not.

If Bob Katter ends up with the balance of power I beleive that their are 2 courses of action.
1. Leave the country.
2. Revolution.

Better chance he'd be getting lunch for others in the Upper House... Can't see him getting sufficient votes (I see even his former colleague is getting into him now - good timing).
