Ormond-Allen was on fairly big coin at a Hills club in 2006 i think, was ridiculed quite a bit there for not being up to standard given that hes played AFL. Last year i think he played Amateurs, may have been an assistant coach as well, think it was div 3 or 4 or something like that.

Trent played a few games at SMOSH in 2007 (D3). Injuries restricted his appearances.

Any names WoW?

No names Grape Ape. Apparently they signed a CHB, Midfielder and a Ruckman. Micky Conlan predicted they would come from flaggies!

Didnt think Myponga would need another ruckman. I know that Laffin is playing again so it will be very handy if he has a partner in crime!

The coach has been against the point system since it was first mentioned in 07 season.

Ormand-allen stated he wouldnt play for less than $300 a game so thats the starting point the Creeks had to work with.

I'd say they could spend their $300 on someone better.

Is Heuskes playing in 08?

Saints sound like they have spoken to a fair few players LF and three sighned any more still waiting to finalise something?
Creeks latest recruit is T.Ormanaland

They'd wanna recruit better than that(Trent Ormond-allan) he wouldn't get 5 games in for the year, his hamstrings are shot.
$300 a game,you have 2 be kidding!

I'd be going more by his form in the Hills a couple of years ago when apparently he could barely get a kick.

Clubs would probably be better going for a 24 year old SANFL Reserves standard player than a 30 year old whos played AFL but is now not up to scratch and living on their reputation alone.

Absolutely! Especially with the points system. If you recruit the right sort of bloke you might get 8 years of quality footy out of a 24 year old. That's how you build premiership winning depth. Look at Jervois. No 'big' names but alot of SANFL reserves experience and all recruited under 25. I can't see Ormand-Alan lasting more that a season (if he even get's a game in the A's) and then they'll just have to replace him.

Exactly right there Grape Ape Grape Ape.

Is there some merit to the thought that if you have an ex 'AFL' player that it would be easier to recruit other players?

The idea of recruiting an over 30 for coin doesnt sit well with me and we certainly wouldnt actively seek out a player over 30. He is basically going to give you 1-2 years of footy and stunt the growth of one of your juniors that this points system is trying to encourage!

The panic button may have been hit at the creeks? Early days but there are alot of players apparently leaving. Dellatore has been invited to train at sturt to add to the list

Bout time a league club actively pursued Toddy D. Can definitely play, quality half back, hes a powerful running penetrating kick that rarely misses a target.

Who else is leaving Langhorne Creek? Surely the boys arent leaving it on that note?

BJ, there's no certainty that they will win it next year, so how many times can you be emotionally crushed like that!!! They would need to bring in a Team Psychiatrist to mentally get them in the right frame of mind!
