By the sounds of things everyone is looking at the short term and next season for the points system. Has the GSFL league put any type of time limit on it or is it coming in with intensions of staying in? Sounds very crazy to bring something so big as this rule in with no trial period, obviously its voted by the clubs within the assosiation but when bringing in new rules and restrictions into a assosiation or business surely you would put it through a trial period/seasons.

Seaton do have a coach, an interim one. Good chance he may end up being the permanent one though.

Kappars the saints are looking long term, that is why we are retaining current players, bring ex players back to the club, then recruiting 4-6 players from the outside who want to play for the right reasons and hang in there for 3 years or so. we might not make much of an impact this but its about the second and thrid years of the system when you can maintain your squad and then add abother couple of blokes.

is Luke Walsh good enough for Div 1? From what I saw the answer would be no, but I only saw him twice so I might be off the money.

You seem to rate yourself quite highly as a ruckman don't you LuvsFooty? You said Bayliss wasn't that good and he toweled you up in round one. He was second best on ground only behind Stokes who kicked 8 goals.

As I said and it applies to both Bayliss and Walsh, when they are new to the league and you only see them twice its hard to guage. I said Bayliss towled me up in Round 1 and he only played a 1/4 the next time we saw them. the only negative I said about hime was that he did not do a lot around the ground in terms of marks and possessions. In regards to my footy, I know I am not real good.

Not good news for the creeks but probably a good thing for ben to do. He has too much talent to come back just yet and with Cahill at the helm South could turn it around

Who will the creeks go after now?

Good luck to Ben down there, definitely still up to the level and capable of kicking over 50 goals in a season if the South midfield deliver the ball rather than stuff around with it looking for the perfect possession.

Nothin comin out of Compass? Yank? Mclarens?

With benny back at south, king, porter, footner and co gone can anyone get close to Willunga in 08?? Weren't they the only club to vote against the point system?

Compass will line up very similar BJ. Haven't heard much out of the Mclarens and Yank camps. Word is that the Mudlarks have filled there allocated points with 3 signing from the southern league

Did many others hear the figure Ben has been offered to stay at south?
If my sources are correct, and I believe they are after speaking to some people that the matter concers it is a huge amount for a SANFL player. Ben will have alot of pressure to perform now.
Good luck Benny!!

Simmo has been re-appointed the job, but after the faluire to secure Ben and loosing others he will have to do some hard work to be a serious contender next season.

If thats true thats a lot of coin. I think we a decent midfield he is capable of kicking 60 goals a year. We will probably only try a finalise a couple more players.
