He's a key forward mate.

And good luck to Joffa, he bleeds red and white, no vacancy at Prospect though so hopefully a good stepping stone for him, a great family too, his Dad is still on the board at North.

James McEntee played Southern League for Marion,is how Wedgie discribed him, athletic, versatile & i think he could play up fwd & give the Eagles another target 2 support Passador, just what we need,an athletic tall key position player. With a good pre-season under his belt,he could be the answer.

Very strange appointment left North to play with the EAGLES.Left the EAGLES to play with North can not get a coaching gig at North so comes back to oval ave .Does that mean he will be heading to north next year ?

He didn't leave North voluntarily the first time - McDermott sacked him.

So McDermott wasn't entirely clueless then?

If the only reports coming out of the South-East about him were about his on field issues then you might be on the money however off field is a way different beast.

Hmm you have to ask the question why would a club not reappoint or fight to retain a two time premiership coach.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Mate if you saw the squad that Portland had, any person on this board could've coached them to a flag. He looked like an absolute tool on GF day down there.

was there and he had the full support of the players during the whole game. think you talking about when he had a go at a few in the crowd. good on him in my eyes what they were saying was disgusting and not called for. No people involved with Portland footy club and besides the odd red card there were no other problems.

Tonight we welcomed midfielder onball player Joel Mackie from Albury Wadonga league to the club. Played very well in that Leagues GF.

We've done well with the country footballers in the past so hopefully this one turns into a good player for the club. Here's an article on him from last year: http://www.bordermail.com.au/news/bm/sport/222515.html

CD is the Corey Lambert mentioned in the article posted by Aerie the same one who was at Eagle land about 10 years ago??
Another name mentioned towards the bottom of the article playing for Wodonga...Josh McLoughlan, possibly the same Josh Mc who was also at the Eagles??
Trust the process.

CD - Can we have a few stats on Joel Mackie, age, height, weight position played, this would help to see where he fits into the overall plan.
