Stinking hot one morning last summer I get out of bed and go and jump straight in the pool starkers.

The neighbour is out farting around in the yard and hears me jump in, sticks his head over the fence and I quickly swim towards him and lean against the edge as we have a yarn. I start shivering at one point and he says "Mate, you should get out if you're that cold" I said "I can get out but you have to remember I've been in the pool".

"Righto, I'm off then"

I'd dare say a pool in my backyard would have it's implications.

Also whilst I'm here, I'm blaming the dog for the situation, as if the little **** didn't chew through the previous fast set pool I would not have accidentally bought a replacement that had a filter pump included. Necessitated further trips to bunnings for chemicals and cleaning equipment.

On that rule, what’s the deal if you are stopped at a light and the slide up underneath you?

Nah, no issues either the race or people riding, as I think it’s great.

But it’s the selfish riders that come out at this time of the year. Riding 4 abreast on Payneham Road with cars parked in the inside lane and just swinging into the right lane without a glance is lunacy.

If they're riding on the train lines and want to get hit, more power to them

I love how the clowns think traffic lights in the CBD are a suggestion, and you nearly get cleaned up whilst crossing the road

Yep, my sentiments exactly. I used to ride to work back in the day, it's a great way to keep fit.

But it's the muppets who rock up for 2 weeks a year that ruin it for everyone else. And on a related topic, lycra isn't for everyone...
