Strikers made a real meal of that

Lost by 7 runs.

Having your keeper batting at No.9 is not acceptable in 20/20.

Strikers are very ordinary team. Think Brisbane Heat not much better. Both miss finals.

Couple of good teams, maybe the Stars year with the squad they have.

Playing a specialist keeper is not acceptable

Wade / McDermott / Allen / Phillipe / Harper / Billings all top 4 batters only Peirson could be considered a lower order batter

Can agree with LBT and others , about the comp- comments
Due to the time frame is a prob , with about 15 players unavailable from the test squads
the colours are terrible when AS play BH both in blue and too similar

BBL still drawing good crowds
Its entertaining enough

The consolation is seeing Young Talent Time

WADIA
24 year old AS player Jerssis Wadia in his 2nd match hit 34 [16] including 3 sixes of his first 3 balls
Where has he been hiding

BALKIN
21 year old BH fast bowler TOM Balkin on debut 2/30 and bowled a match winning last over
He bowled 140-145kms
Extreme talent

Stars win again to go 4-0. Finally might be their year to win that elusive flag.

Think they have done a great job building their list - they have three gun overseas players who are all here for the WHOLE tournament, not leaving just before finals. I also can’t think of any “Aussie players” they have that may comeback at the end of tournament, so not wasting valuable salary cap.

Strikers could learn from this, our list make up is terrible, have Head and Carey there, just not working at all. Maybe now Tim Neilson left they can sort it out

Adelaide at full strength will be a formidable team
Good time to play them is NOW
When Alex and The Trav play they will likely win games

Usually only available for finals if we make it, one or two more games if we're lucky.

They should be exempt from the cap, as should any other player missing due to national duties.

Unfortunately Eags the current list manager (Shaun Williams) is a Tim Nielson disciple and an absolute spud. There's still residual issues/attitudes from the Nielson regime that need to be cleaned out. Poor treatment of local players and keep picking interstate hacks who failed at their original teams. Not sure if Tim Paine is any good either?

Got any suggestions for Rowdy on where to get players from when the International T 20 league, and CSA T20 competition (both backed by the IPL) as well as the Bangladeshi and Sheep Shaggers T20 competition are all on at the same time?

Various squads can be found here https://www.espncricinfo.com/cricket-fixtures Lots of former BBL players, playing in the Middle East and in Seth Efrica
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

“When you’re a replacement player, you don’t pick your number,” Balkin laughed during his chat with the Fox Sports commentary team after Saturday’s match.

“It had to be a number (in) the 90s. (No. 95) was actually my second preference for Queensland this year. It’s just a bit of a laugh with Lightning McQueen. I would prefer No. 8, but I just picked No. 95.”
