Probably all over for today, now gone off for bad light, this is a damn joke, you have lights, use them but touring parties refuse to go with that. should not be an issue in cricket these days, if the lights no good throw on the lights

Jaques dropped a chance at mid wickets this morning. A catch that you would expect an Aussie test player to take.

Great bowling by Lee..hits Maharoof on the helmet, short leg, short leg gully, couple more short balls, then a full good length ball the cuts away a liitle to take the outside of off stump.
Maharoof 18

Only the rain can save them now..and the clouds are hovering and coming in slowly.

Philly's never been a great fielder broderick. Hopefully extended training with the national squad will soon have him up to speed.

Well, good thing is Murali won't have the chance to add to his wickets this test.

Cannot work this out...Sri Lanka 8 down, Lee takes a wicket with the 5 ball in the last over before scheduled Lunch break.9 down. They go to Lunch,9 down with Lee one ball to bowl in his over. Why not just let Lee finish the over delay Lunch by 30 mins (just like the rain delay time) and get the game over with..

well im thinking if it was the tea break they would have kept the game going.

you just dont know how long the last wicket will hold up for, on most occassions they wont last very long.

Perhaps MALinga is not playing in respect off what happened at MAraLinga ?
If he is not injured it must rate as one of the biggest selection blunders in SL test history.

It is the captain's decision to continue or not for the extra half hour

BTW, anyone who questioned Ponting's decision needs to own up and admit fault.

If we had batted for a few hours it probably would've been a draw.

I knew this was the rule the point was the law makers really need to look at the facts for games like this one especially when there was over a hour lost from the morning session. It didn't rain during Lunch, but what if they came back and it pissed down the rest of the day...
