Mali said part of the deal was does not want a reduced style event. He is literally kidding himself, will not be able to fit the same people in safely, will not have the same infrastructure like grandstands etc you can fit with two courses.

Kooyonga captain saying they will only be affected for 10 days :D Ended up nearly three months at Grange, with going down to 15-16 holes, reduced length holes, Par 5 holes played as Par 3, Par 4 holes reduced by 100 metres at least. Damage to the course after.

Caused a riot with the Members at Kooey, going to be interesting Q&A later this month :D

4 holes to be shortened for stands, 19th ( short par 3 ) to be used in play to free up a par 4 or 5 in the middle of the course for stands and Lockleys Oval will probably host the village. I'm not sure it gets through the members.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Not sure, as Eagles notes I think there's a members meeting soon.

Committee can do what they want, don't need Members approval.

BUT... think Q&A is next Tuesday night (Oct 28) so that will be very interesting, be an explosive meeting

My mail is the committee didn't / dont need approval
It's an "information night" only meaning: we tell you / you listen
I would love to be there

Will hide the result, in case some are watching still.

Pretty emotional with Beef winning, RIP.

On Friday the 21st of November, Yes this Friday! I’m taking on Cancer Council's ‘The Longest Day’ - the ultimate golf challenge. I’ll be testing my skill, strength, and stamina by playing 4 rounds of golf in a single day to raise funds for life saving cancer research. 32kms all walked…….

Simply click the link below to make a donation to my page.

https://www.longestday.org.au/fundraisers/shaunholland

Here’s why I’ll be doing this;

Cancer has taken an enormous toll on my family. My sister passed away young from undiagnosed Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP). Once she was finally diagnosed, we only had two short years before losing her. In that time, she bravely lived her life—marrying and welcoming two beautiful daughters. Tragically, both girls inherited the same condition. Today, my 23-year-old niece has already had half of her bowel removed as a preventative measure.

Then came my mum’s battle. In 2013, she was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma—incurable but manageable. Just when we thought she had some stability, she found a lump in 2021. It turned out to be stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. We were told it’s extremely rare to have both cancers. Scans then revealed four additional cancers, the most significant in her spleen. She endured 12 rounds of chemotherapy, 15 radiotherapy treatments, and a frightening bout of pneumonia along the way. Although she eventually reached remission, the pneumonia left her with only 60% lung function, which deeply affects her daily life.

While Mum was fighting for her life, my stepdad began fighting for his. A tiny lump in his throat grew to the size of a golf ball in a week. It was a secondary cancer on his parotid gland. After surgery and 33 rounds of radiotherapy, he survived—but the treatment cost him full function in his jaw. Doctors told him that if he’d waited even a few more days, the outcome would have been completely different.

On top of all of this, my mum has been in and out of hospital every month. And just last week, on Friday, we lost my grandmother, Mum’s mum. It feels like my mum has been dealt blow after blow, and all I want to do is help in any way I can.

Cancer has repeatedly hit my family, and I’ve seen up close the physical, emotional, and financial toll it takes. Through The Longest Day, I’m determined to make a difference for other South Australian families facing cancer. Even the smallest bit of support can help change someone’s story—and that’s why I’m taking part, Cancer has hit us all in some way or another, please give generously to help all the families out there.

Please sponsor me and support my efforts to give back and change lives. One in two Australians will be impacted by cancer by the age of 85 and I want to do something to help change this!

As a majority community funded organisation, Cancer Council relies on the generosity of their supporters to continue saving lives through cancer research, prevention programs, information and support services.

Their work is really important, and I want to do what I can to help. But there is only so much I can do on my own. Any amount you can give makes a difference!

You can also support me by encouraging others to get involved, too. Please email the link to my page to your friends and family, or share it on social media.

Thank you so much for your support - it is truly appreciated.
