I saw it. Was a decent article. Did you guys have to write it yourselves and send it to them? I couldn't imagine the Messenger taking an interest in any club out this way except Salisbury North, especially over summer?

No im pretty sure that Payney called them and they came down and did the article.

rang them to see how to get an advertisement and turned out to be an article and not a bad one either. Still the silly season but hopefully on the meet the coaches day will have an idea on how we have recriuted for 08.
Have brought height into the side and a few gun midfielders as well.
Will find out this month on the ones we are chasing. There is about 2-3 players we are very keen on getting / back to the club. Either way i think we will improve on last years effort.
Have only heard of two A Grade players leaving.

Any new players are welcome to pre season training which starts at 6.00pm on Wednesday 21st of November at club

They ain't got alot of money schimma, just smart in a sense where Ron Fullers a Parks boy & Sean Jacksons a mate of his,he's been appointed coach,so he & the club would be expecting some Eagles boys 2 be thrown their way.

Was Sean Jackson coaching Gepps Cross last year?

If it is the same one than IMO he will be good for Flinders Park a good coach who has proven himself before. I might have to revise my selection for who will be premiers in Div 3.

It would be the same Sean Jackson.
He's also been involved with Sturt and coached Loxton North previously.

That's good for Flinders Park, they have always been around the mark but just not able to go that next level. This I think will change with Sean coaching them, kinda makes me wish the footy season was starting soon.

Gepps Cross should never have let him go,he's a coach that gets rid of the "dead wood" at clubs & doesn't believe in over the top payments 2 players.Gepps obviously wanted quick success & knew Seans way was going 2 take 3yrs,but Sean believes in developing the young ones,so his time was cut short by the not so brains trust at Gepps.
GOOD LUCK 2 HIM!

I believe Andy's boys have lost their state ruckman 2 greenacres.
How many others have followed Danny Ryan up the hill from the chicks?

Said pretty much all I had to say earlier. It might be dispersed through this, the div 5 and Barossa threads.

Wrighty is the state ruckman you are talking about and he has gone to Greenacres with about a dozen blokes. This is pretty old news. I'm dissapointed, but understand why they have gone. Most are good players who don't deserve the stigma attached to being part of our side last year. They have played in successful sides before that. Apparently Nth. Adel's plan is to turn Greenacres into a kind of thirds like Pt Districts.

Polkinghorne, Brodhurst and a couple others from Barossa have come onboard along with a heap I haven't met. I don't think anyone doubts Ocker's ability to recruit so I'm confident we'll do well. However, I will feel better after a couple of wins, was a lean year just gone.

Yes correct, we have lost one of our talls from last year, he will be a loss to us but he has explained his reason and we are fine with it, even though he could have walked away without explaining anything.
Hopfully he will be back next year.
BUT we have a signing that will cover the loss as well as a few more players coming on board shortly.

I'm sure with Donnelly and Laney jumping on they won't be too short on talls...
