Only thing funnier is knowing that you cant do without the Glenelg influence at your footy franchise, Cornes out Reeves in

Kudos to Port.

You’ve got to respect a footy club that can look within, evaluate it’s list and be realistic with where it is at.

Getting Brodie, Wehr and Fiorini and then adding the most successful SANFL coach of the last three years demonstrates Port knows that it really just a SANFL club and is all in on next years SANFL flag

The Glenelg Football Club is inviting expressions of interest for the role of Senior Men’s Coach.

With a proud history spanning over 100 years in the SANFL, a strong senior list and a reputation for identifying and developing talent, this is a rare opportunity for the right candidate to lead our Club towards attaining our next League premiership and building a sustainable culture of success.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:

Playing experience at AFL or State League Level and/or Senior or Assistant coaching experience at AFL or State League Level
Building strong and effective relationships with players, coaching and support staff
An infectious desire and ability to build a culture of high performance
A fiercely competitive determination to maximise individual and team performance
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Highly developed organisational, leadership and management skills
Ability to clearly articulate a defined coaching philosophy across the Club
Willingness and ability to promote the brand of the Glenelg Football Club
Clear understanding of the SANFL competition
As Senior Coach you will implement a consistent coaching philosophy at all levels of the Club and play a leadership role in the development of our coaches. With an awareness of the profile the senior coach carries, you will have the ability to promote the values of the Club brand through meaningful engagement of key stakeholders including members, media and sponsors in an effort to further promote and develop the Glenelg Football Club in the community.
