I had hoped there'd be "gift shops" popping up selling them under the counter.

*sigh*

Medical people that think its OK to be 35 minutes behind at 9.15am

No; its not [-X

9.50am
"I have to go - I have a meeting at 10am"
"He can see you in a minute"
"No thanks - you can make another appointment. The next person will thank me"

No phone call
No mention of being so far behind when I arrived 7 minutes early.

I went to the chemist about a month ago to get my script filled and they said I had no more repeats left.

I went to book an appointment when I got to work on the Monday morning and my doctor wasn't listed as available.

I rang them at 9am and they told me that my doctor had retired, i told them of my predicament so they rang me back later and made an appointment for me to see another doctor in their clinic for 4pm but I wouldn't be seen until 5:30pm, I said "Some come in around 5ish?". No, I still had to lob as though it was a 4pm appointment.

Fortunately I found a replacement doctor and booked in for the following day.

This is what Telehealth appts are for FFS.

A week ago I tried to book a Telehealth appt with my usual clinic, they had no one available for 3 days and just said, oh well, bad luck, so I booked elsewhere, got a call in 30 mins and a script for antibiotics sent through.

Even though I asked for a Telehealth appt, my clinic wanted me to come in but only if I had a negative Covid test  So apparently I can’t come into their surgery but they’re OK for me to go to a chemist to get Covid tests.

With a gap of $63 and service like that it’s time to look elsewhere.

I have nothing but admiration for the Doctors clinics Ive been with in my lifetime
I would have no lifetime left but for their expertise

I accept I need to wait past my appointment times - been like this every clinic I go to

The alternative is go to Emergency and maybe be there for hours
The other is dont see a Doctor and try and cure yourself

Three weeks ago I had first appointment of the day, 8am.

I was in the car park at 7:45 and my doctor went in so he was there. 8:22 I went in, 23 minutes late on the first appointment of the day

Me too, I've only had two in my life though, now on to a 3rd, he seems good.

I thought telling me my appointment is at 4pm but I won't be seen til 5:30pm but still get there for a 4pm appointment was a bit redundant. Just clogging up the waiting room with more possible germs floating around.

I agree - I am using Instantscripts for almost everything simple now
But I still refuse to use My Health Record because no-one will guarantee the e-safety of the system
