Symonds miles in front of Watson!!!

Injuries and issues aside, Symonds is just a better cricketer.

Well Roy has just outscored a guy who has been batting all day. Watson would have gone down with menstrual cramps by now ha ha.

Haha no but if he had made a hundred he would have helped my argument

I honestly think the best of Roy is yet to come at test level, i think he has 4-5-6 years left in him at the top level and i expect them to be very good years. Do i think he is good enough to bat at 6? Yes i do, he scores quickly, he has a reasonable technique and i think will score a lot of runs.

His bowling while not that great is another to fill the gaps and add a little variety with Pup which is all he will be needed for when we have an attack as we do now. His fielding is a class above most players, Symonds, Pup and Ponting are brilliant in the field. He is one of the most popular blokes in the side and i expect him to perform this summer and be in the side for the long haul.

I Think he is the man for the job, not too mention Watson cant get on the park.

Symonds gives us a bowling option and I think his batting is under-rated

ODI's are different I know, but he canes them there!

Test side is fine as is for the time being ...

Next in line for a bat is D. Hussey. The most consistent middle order bat in the country. End of Story.

No need for me to say much locky. It has all been said already. Symonds is a better cricketer than Watson full stop. You can come up with averages and stats all you like but at the end of the day i know who i'd prefer in my team.

Anyway the poll is about Andrew Symonds and my vote is "Yes" he deserves to be in the Test side. He is a very good cricketer and the value he brings to the side is greater than what any alternative brings currently.
