Surely Day 1 of the ticket release is only for the members who's barcodes/membership records show that they attended at least 75% of the home matches at Adelaide Oval this season,
Already flawed, the AFL take over and the tickets are based on memberships of each club so while it's a home game it's not a home crowd.
Adelaide would have more 11 home game ticket holders than what went last Thursday night.
Let's look at this week's game as an example:
54000 tickets for Adelaide Oval and the AFL allocate 39000 to Crows members and 15000 to Hawthorn members.
So on Day 1 of ticket selling those 39000 Crows members that venture into Ticketek and enter their barcode will get a message at the first screen saying either "Yes, as you attended at least 75% of Adelaide Home games this season you may proceed with buying x number of tickets today" or "Sorry, as you attended less than 75% of Adelaide Home games this season you will need to return to this site tomorrow to buy x number of tickets".
Hawthorn members that log in on Day 1 and enter their code will get no barriers to buying their tickets and get sat in the areas allocated to the visiting team.
Unclaimed Hawthorn membership tickets will then get thrown into the late release of tickets closer to game day.
