Well what an amazing finish. Only SA could go that close to losing.

Great knock by Elliot and Cosgrove, well bowled by Cullen and Dizzy and also Harris.

Good win, should have done it much easier but a win is a win and was good to see the top order fire.

NSW did the same- bracken an aussie ODI bowler only bowled 9- both captains got their maths wrong more than any deliberate tactic surely

Agree STUMPS
How the best bowler in this game[Bracks] only bowled 9 overs is startling.
Both sides just dont know how to win a game
Thats 3 games in a row v NS its gone to the last over in the last 3 games.

Turning point of the match was the GIFT dismissal of Brad Haddin

Can anyone tell me why the hell Adcock had Boof on the boundary straight down the ground today? Adcocks captaincy today left me shaking my head, NSW should have made 35 runs less than they did.

The Delmont/Manout - katich non run out was comical.

I was puzzled by that also. Boof fielding in any outfield position is really a liability he simply just can't run.

I cringed at that missed run out and the look on DC's face said it all.......

I thought overall ADCOCK captained well
His fielders inept display was the problem.
At least he got 10 overs out of his better bowlers unlike KATICH.
What he needs to do is make some runs

Once again ELLIOTT played another match winning innings in the Franger Cup.
Lets hope the overdue investment comes about in the Pura Cup starting Friday.

Lehmann would have been straight because his lack of speed across the ground would be better used there where he can take his time, rather than square where 2 metres can mean the difference between 1 and 4. Luckily Adcock understands these things better than you do.

Just because the selectors pick him doesn't mean they're happy with everything. Just means they think he's more value in the team for now than someone else.

Nah ..... come on GrahamL it HAS to be something to do with Adcock

You know the rules:

1 If we win its despite Adcock = Adcock has to go
2 If we lose its because of Adcock = Adcock has to go

I look at it a win is a win and any win when you are struggling is a good win, sure perhaps we should have won easier or perhaps we should have lost. Both sides dropped easy catches at important times in the match. In the end it was a great close contest, both sides did their best and on this occasion we came away with the points.

Adcock cost SA at least 15 runs by bowling lehmann, his last over should have been a quicker bowler.

So you think Adcock is worthy of a spot in the side hondo? With his stellar form this season how could you leave him out  At least when Mark Taylor was kept in the Australian side despite not being able to make a run, he had some previous form and performance that suggested he was capapble of making runs. What does Adcock have?

1047 runs in 24 first class matches at an average of 24. This all over a ten year period. Speaks volumes for the ability of the guy to just simply not be good enough for first class cricket.

Disagree
Lehmann takes less than 2 minutes to bowl an over
Who else bowls quicker than that?

He finished last season in the 1st 11 and one of the few batsmen in form. At the same time I am not saying he is the next Lehmann by any strech.

Your Tubby Taylor analogy is a good one his autobiography makes interesting reading on the pressures of being captain while you are in a form slump.

I reckon we should be supporting the guy and the team rather than champing at the bit to jump him all season long. We can't go back in time and un-appoint him.

I personally hope he makes some runs I don't want to see him have to resign the captaincy or get dropped as Captain. The team has enough other problems without having to find someone else to do the job.
