Looking at the current standard and results of the GSFL and the SFL has the time come for the leagues to combine and have two divisions? OR maybe the SFL clubs bite the bullet and move across to the Adelaide Footy League.. The top few might be around div 3 level the rest will find their level.

Porties looking like the early favourites so far, with Reynella just behind them.
Valleys look placed to cause an upset if either of those two slip up.
Flaggies are just going at the moment, injuries and form seem to be mounting against them.
Christies look to be most likely to make the 5, barring a late surge from the Shoes.
Cove the best of the rest.

Valley's definitely the favourites at this stage. Throw a blanket over Porties, Flaggies and Reynella.

It probably has some place in the lower age groups, but definitely not U17.5

Kids need to learn about being a good winner and a good loser. Valuable life lessons. Sport teaches that very well. Take that away and it will certainly be a disadvantage growing up

Yep, 100%. U13s would be the highest grade I'd have the rule applicable. The funny thing is that PlayHQ still has the proper score and all the goalkickers anyway, so it's still available for public consumption.

Some of these U17.5 kids are also playing senior footy, and there's no bloody mercy rule there!
