Approx 19-min mark of the 3rd quarter.

5 weeks? Did he even get him high? If so, the SHOC lad should be out for the next 21 days under concussion protocols.

Also, how's the hilarity with Clay Symonds from SHOC trying to get involved in the melee. Bloke's 60kgs, wringing wet, and when he tried to toss a Glenunga bloke around they barely moved!

Sorry, SHOC not SPOC.

Might have got him across the chest. BUT, if it did get him high and that's why Bennett got 5 weeks, then the question needs to be asked about ( a) why he was allowed back on in the last quarter, and ( b) as you said, he should be out for 21 days under concussion protocols.

You're assuming the bloke was concussed? Nothing to suggest that - except for lying on the ground like he'd been shot.

For a 5-week suspension, he'd want to be knocked out.....the fact that he was able to play out the last quarter is either an indication of the ability of their medical staff, or the resilience of these private school boys!!

However, I'd suggest with the length of the suspension, the ability of the medical staff and the resilience of the private school boys, something's not quite adding up.

Never doubt the healing properties of a magic sponge. Besides, seeing how they don't pay players, perhaps they spend all of their money on medical staff?

AdFL Guidelines are pretty clear though to be honest whether or not we agree with them.

Careless > High Contact > High Impact = 4 to 5 games... and it's well known they also consider the potential for greater harm to be caused... so 5 games really doesn't shock me at all.

*edit* - my mail from someone who knows Lincoln is you're full of shit, he got 3 games not 5.... :D

Did he actually get him high, though? I thought it got him more the chest and shoulder, the camera panned too quick

Ok well given i've heard he got 3 not 5..

Careless > Body Contact > High Impact = 3-4

Video doesn't look great, sort of half leaves the ground, looks like the elbow is raised slightly. If he'd braced himself and just front on bumped him prob wouldnt be anything to see here.

He got 5 weeks, with 2 suspended. Misses 3 weeks, but still copped a 5-week suspension.

Suck it up and move on, if he'd come from one of the clubs North of the CBD he probably would've got 8.

Was graded intentional, high and low impact. 3 + 2.

Reckon that's all about right. Took his eyes off the pill and trying to iron the lad out. If he goes up another couple of inches it could have been a broken jaw, nose, severe concussion. Wouldn't want my kid on the end of that.
