The effort from South players cannot be questioned, but the ability to hit targets under pressure seems to be lacking from what I have seen. Players that can lay tackles are of course important, but equally using the ball under pressure (or not under pressure) is essential at this level.
Some of this can be put down to inexperience, especially with several experienced leaders missing, but until South become more composed, or find players who are composed with the ball South will be well behind the majority of teams
