I'll just throw this out there, if you want people to lay off Seaton & Hodges, ripping into other clubs for their colours isn't really going to help your cause...kinsmanclan wrote:Saw Portland play some other crap team and what a joke. Should tape it and send it in to funniest home videos it was that bad. The skills were horrendous and honestly could not see a player on either side who would make an A1 side and possibly only a handful who would make A2 sides. Dont even like their jumpers as they were those horrible Power colours. Might have some credability at least in the tri colour of the mighty Crows

Mate I'm not from Portland so I wouldn't know the workings of the inner sanctum down there, just saying that if you want people to lay off your situation at the moment, maybe it neds to go both ways.kinsmanclan wrote:The jumper bit was meant to be light hearted for those who are very sensitive about their precious little A4 competition. Was only making comment about the feasability of starting training for an A4 club now and whether, what was written on the fourm was correct. This certainly makes me aware now that they are training, by the sensitive little pieces written. What on earth would an A4 club get by training now. Please spare me the details as it would just not make sense.
Sure Marshall, Saj, Gale etc were from Portland, but as you can see by my commentary, I said that only a few would even make it to A2 let alone A1. Well fellas, I was right - Marshall is a fantastic player and all of the others you mentioned are only Reserves players who ocassionally get a senior game depending on injuries.
They all come from Portland, but you seemingly left out another 6 or 7 who also come from the same club. Gee is that just an oversight or selective memory. Something tells me if 10 players leave one club and go to another, then something may not be right in how the previous club is being run. Just an observation. No pats on the back from me for guessing that - as it obvious after speaking with the guys who come across from Portland, that the Club management is something similar to the Ashton Circus and everything is run under the Big Top.
In a back handed swipe at me, you have only supported what I have said, so thank you very much - your arguement was actually compelling and supported entirely what I said. Many thanks.
Just for your information - apparently another 4 or so of your players want to make the trip across the Boulevard next year, so things must be just rosy down there at Riverside Oval or Portland Oval or Ethelton Oval or Albeton Oval or whichever team you amalgamate with next wants to call it.

BUZZ wrote:No disregards to the club or grade Felch, i think going from A1-A2 footy down a few levels is a hard adjustment for any player, expectations are alot higher on fellow team mates and its sometimes not as 'easy' as people think. If these guys left and went back to Portland it would certainly keep the competion honest
