5 times in the past 37 games the AFL has had to apologise for an umpire error costing Adelaide the chance of/a win.

Not a good stat for the AFL umpire fraternity


Why do the AFL do this? Why is a free kick (correct or incorrect) more important in the last 2 mins of a game? If they do this they should comment on decisions in first or second quarter, they are just as important and can influence the outcome of a game just as much. I dont get it.

Players combined make more mistakes in a game than umpires, one or two bad umpiring decisions do not cost teams games :evil:

Spot on, players make many many more mistakes and guess what, clubs can do something about that.
