Even the Division 2 GF is going down to the wire

Woodville need 42 off 38 balls

They have just lost a couple of wickets

Yes, that Vadja wicket was not necessary the way he was batting, only needed a run a ball with fielders spread, tried to ramp

Thompson has been a good coach wherever he’s been but he’s at Kensington success follows that club
How do you think he’s go at prospect?

Bloody good line up for St Kilda with Marcus Harris, Peter Handscomb, Todd Murphy, Adam Crosthwaite, Jonathon Merlo all the same team.

Wouldn't be many grade teams with 3 test cricketers in their line up.

Handscomb did not play.

Being sent in and making 600!

You win the toss and bat. Not that hard.

St Kilda were top and only needed the draw.

Carlton won the flag the previous season with a reverse outright....might have thought lightening strikes twice, cricket is a funny game.

Hows the integrity of the comp if you can change the rules when it suits?

This is exactly the scenario we all new would eventuate having two divs.

I've no idea what the solution is here but someone's not going to be happy.

Nope, I think the rule is written correctly, but there is no ambiguity at all. If the under 19s qualify, only one up/down.

Seahorses 1 First Grade premiership in something like 50 years???

Relegated clubs are judged on the season following relegation. Serious ones will be bouncing straight back up or at least in a serious fight to get back. Average ones will fall further down the ladder, banging on how they were harshly treated.

Realistically, those who jumped ship to join Glenelg and are not SACA contracted need to stay. Those who are contracted and junior products probably should stay but their choice to leave. Recruits because of the Division 1 status should transfer to other Div 1 clubs.

Sturt & Adelaide did well after gaining promotion. It will be interesting to see how ET's and Woodville go next season. I'd suspect the Glenelg 1st Class players may well stay there as it gives them an easy excuse to not play grade cricket - i.e. don't want play against the likes of Prospect. SD etc.
Haven't heard too much about comings and goings for next season, apart from a whisper Harvey is leaving Sturt to go to WT? Don't think Sturt would be that unhappy to see him go - only really had 1 or 2 good innings and didn't do much for the rest. Didn't make himself available on a few occasions when he could have.
