Had Cosgrove on the back, could only have been him if he lost 120 kgs.

So they finished 13 overs down for the day ;) I know we bowled no spin but we were extremely slow as well. And this match is not going to Day 5 so it is irrelevant, but what if the match did go the distance and we end up losing 40-50 overs from the match, not acceptable!

Yeah very odd.

Mark Cosgrove I hear

Did he shit the barrel out?

There’s no way that’s Cosgrove
Unless there is 2 fully kitted up?[/quote]It's Jim Brady, he's a mate of the Marmalade guys.

We’re not going past day 3 here, so doesn't matter … plus it takes time for 16 batsmen to come to the wicket.

80.5 overs were bowled, add 2 overs for a change of innings gives 82.5 overs for the day, so only 7.1 overs down. :-B

We were behind the over rate after about 30mins... then the wickets tumbled

Yes the full kitted bloke was Jim Brady who is associated with the Marmalade / Div 12 Ressies lads. I stand corrected but I reckon he is the son of former WT and WWT champion Scott Morphett. Not sure why the different surname but that’s what I’ve been told.

As a permanently scarred SA cricket supporter I am not sold yet, when Usman, Marnus, Benny Mc, Jimmy P and Neser are back in the shed and we have less than 100 runs to get then I'll feel a little easier.

I find it interesting that the only two changes the Queenslanders made were the two openers, I thought they'd have a little more faith in Renshaw, despite having a poor season by his standards he was still on par with Hearne and Lovell.

Renshaw wasn't dropped; he pulled out - staying in Brisbane for the birth of his child.

What are these Renshaw standards you speak of? His FC career has been punctuated by the odd big score that everyone seems to take notice of and demand he gets back in the test side but those same people zone out when he makes a combined total of 30 runs in his next 3 or 4 innings. This year in SS he averaged 29. Career FC average is 37 so this season was pretty much rinse and repeat for Matty. I will concede that batting top 3 or 4 in SS the last few years is one of the toughest gigs in world cricket but I still can’t work out the ongoing love for this bloke.

Dunno, I don't rate or like the guy, I just figured that he must have been impressive somewhere along the line to be presented with the opportunities that he has been, didn't the Aussie selectors put him in at 5 ahead of Travis Head in India in 2023?

He does have a test HS of 184.
