Agree, I’ve used them for years & never had an issue… (*touch wood, have a booking in Melbourne next month)

Until you need a refund, modify or need a tax invoice, then good luck

I usually book accom through Wotif, or direct with hotel. Not sure why, but this time I went through Booking.com. That was a mistake.
All that was left when I booked (long weekend) was the Jacksons Motor Inn on GO Road. Booking made for Sat March 8th, checking out Sunday March 9th. 1 room - $142 for the night.
Flew into Adealide early Sat am, went to visit older Brother in RAH, who slept the entire time I was there... I digress. Then up the hill to watch the lads cricket. A few post game beers, onto a pub in Mt Barker to catch up with a few old mates. Dinner & back down the hill, arrive at said accommodation at 9.30pm.
Reception closed, call after hours number, hi (my name) I have a reservation for tonight..... silence on the other end of the phone..... Hello, do you have a room for me please? "No, no room for you. Your wife called to say you flight was cancelled". At this stage I did loose a bit of my shit.
My wife doesn't even know where I am staying (not that it was a secret) so how can she have called you? - Now you are just making shit up was my further comment. Clearly my flight was not cancelled, as I am standing in front of your ******* reception area...... "You book through Agoda"? No I booked through Booking.com.
So these **** tards, have cancelled my reservation, without notice, or refund.... that's totally unacceptable. Then they try to pass it off as someone else's problem.
Fortunately my Niece had a couch I could crash on for the night....
In trying to get a refund, the hotel said I have to call Booking.com to arrange this. Thanks for nothing you cock heads.

If you paid by CC then initiate a chargeback for services not provided.Corona Man wrote:Corona Man wrote:I don't expect many on the forum would have the need to book a hotel room all that often in Adelaide..... Here is my tale of woe, from last weekends trip back to Radelaide..
