Not really a result of great bowling but nevertheless we'll take it.

I don't see how on earth the selectors opted for two left arm quicks, surely there is a right armed quick getting around that is worth a look, a bloke called Will perhaps?

Spencer needs to be a smarter bowler if he is to succeed at this level, I didn't watch a lot of the English innings but when I seen him bowl to Dunkett it was absolute fodder, he bowled too short, he got cracked straight back at him with a short one so Benny done the same thing again to bring up the ton.

Zampa'a spell around the 30th over mark got us back in the game, it must have been a fair batting display to reel that one in, I thought Wood and Joffra would have our measure, the sub-continent factor helped us there I think.

Well done to Marnus for scoring above a run a ball with a handy contribution, I'm always happy to be proven wrong.

Just looking at Kohli’s ODI record

He’s clearly the best ever ODI player with his record

Not having 3 slips and a gully in play helps him.

Probably a good thing.

How is it that South Africa always seem to have a bunch of new players that I've never heard of? Is it because we hardly ever play them?

I wonder where the upset is gonna come from? There's usually one or two during these type of comps, hopefully it's not the Afghans derailing our quest now that the Poms are up against it.

Which guys in their squad haven't you heard of? It is probably because we haven't really played them in any format recently.

Hopefully Afghanistan can beat England and knock them out.

I'm familiar with 5 of them that played the Afghans.

Bavuma, Markram, Miller, Jansen & Rabada.

Hadn't heard of Jansen and Nortje befoer the tour of when spidercam tried to take Nortje out, I loved their tenacity immediately, I really wanna see Jansen become the next big thing.

Unlike a lot on here I really love watching the Saffers play, I have done since they returned to the international scene, they're like the Temu version of us and had many players that you can't help but admire, their best XI since 2000 would be as good as anyones.

How did Inglis keep the other night for those who watched all of it?

Going on past performances
If you're playing both, why not give the superior one the gloves?

CA will see it as a masterstroke because of Carey's brilliance in the field.

Will I get my wish and see Carey fulfill the vacant opening role? On the same token I can't see Inglis paying in the first Ashes test.

Very good point, now both are playing as batters, surely you have the best wicky behind the stumps, which is Carey
