Had a work meeting at Aldinga this morning, packed the togs and headed down the beach afterwards for an early lunch, magnificent down there.

I've got a fair degree of confidence that Dutchy isn't packing a budgie into his tight smalls.

That reminds me last weekend we were at Berry Bay on the YP, and my daughter's boyfriend got dumped by a good wave, and it yanked his boardie's clean off and sucked them out to the back of the swell never to be seen again. Fortunately for him he was wearing budgie smugglers underneath and has inherited the nickname of "Captain Underpants" for the remainder of his life.

Looking at the Brisbane weather forecast for later this week - it's kind of freaky reading "Possible rainfall 20 to 130mm"

So used to reading like a few mm hear in Adel.. reading 130mm is daunting.

The system is expected to cross the coast south of the Sunshine Coast later this week,
bringing falls from 200 to 400 millimetres. "But we could even see isolated falls of 500 to 700 millimetres, particularly in areas from the Gold Coast down towards the Northern Rivers," meteorologist Jonathan How

The last cyclone in Brisbane was something like 50 years ago - and even that was an ex-cyclone crossing - and that caused the 1974 floods

So imagine what a cat 2 storm is going to do

All I see is insurance premiums rising again
