So...

The two gluten free buns were placed in front of her and over the next 45 minutes or so the pizzas began to come out. ( Was my nieces 18th so the family had covered the pizzas ). One by one various pizzas for the tables came out and me being lactose intolerant got my no dairy delivered another member of the party on the other table had the same requirements and no issues, pizzas were ok. By now she'd began to pick at one of the buns ( cut in half so 4 pieces in total ).
My sister in law saw this and asked as to the whereabouts of the gluten free pizza. Confusion takes hold.

"Oh, those buns are for another table having a grazing plate, can I grab them please I'll take them over to them". This is over an hour they've been out in 36° and have been picked at. My son says "They've been out for a while and been picked at".

"Great" is the response, "I guess I'll have to get more".

The gluten free fig & prosciutto pizza followed about 25 minutes later.

I can't be arsed going into the kerfuffle 3 extra chairs caused.

The 5/10 was for the venue. There's loads of parking, inside is air conditioned and very nice, the deck and balcony well crafted, there's corn hole, bocce and a cubby house for the kids and the gardens are very nice.

The only thing I'll excuse them on is it was packed inside and outside with parties, but they weren't unaware these were taking place as they were all booked in.

That's no excuse, you can't just be a good venue when there's bugger all foot traffic.

We would need to have it filmed for perpetuity

British hotel

Did a family dinner before daughter heads back to Sydney at the British on Friday night.

Food was very good I thought compared to some of the dodgy ALH feeds I’ve had lately.

Steak was cooked slightly under (wanted Med Rare) but it was well seasoned. Her indoors had the S&P squid which was cooked well but slightly over floured.

Got bonus points for stocking Metala Cabernet blend

Solid 8/10
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Hosting a group tonight for a work dinner @ the Birky, one of our guests is staying at the Quest so I thought we may as well cater for him.

Went to Estia's at Henley Square Sunday week ago, it was a warm night and the whole area was packed, we were fortunate to get a table as a walk-in, it was around 8:45pm though.

Upon perusing the menu the GF thought it was a tad on the pricey side but I said "don't worry, it's the experience that matters".

I did agree with er a little but had in the back of my mind there was a reason I had bookmarked this place.

We found Mousaka dish on their specials board that had like a cavatappi noodle base, it was around $25 and was simply sensational.

The Calamari Tiganito was $33, a bit steep but then BANG!!!!! Out came Mount Calamari with plenty of Octopus mixed in too, that reminded me of why I needed to go back, I looked around to see how big the servings were all round.

The scenery there was exquisite, the food matched that, what a great way to end the weekend, the Sunday the week before at the Moseley Beach House was just as perfect.

Hosting a few people at the Birky last Wednesday was a winner, I was questioned by one of the upper management why I opted for a pub and I replied "No, it's a tavern".

Service was excellent, wait wasn't too long, food was well priced vs the serving sizes.

I had the KG Whiting, other meals included the Seafood Basket, the American Ribs, the Big Birk Grill and the Scotch Fillet, everyone was impressed.

I couldn't believe no one opted for the Lambs Fry.

A few went for the Affogato espresso Frangelico ice cream as a dessert along with the caramel nut sundae.

I highly recommend.

My suggestion of the Fruchos shop didn’t go down well.

We considered it until your review

Tin Shed was another but was told by a friend it’s loud and a cafe more than a restaurant

Went to McQueens last night, they had a re-opening deal for members, $15 for either a schnitty, fish and chips, burger or chicken burger, all of them came with a pint.

Tasted nice with good sized feeds too. $4 extra for a parmi but well worth it.

I picked the 4 corners on keno while I was there, looked up and seen "$120 won here" on the screen................it was my ticket. whacked $50 in the Big Red pokie machine and took out $200 then left.

Good night down there as always.
