Hopefully Soldo repays us for the snot he delivered last year, having him or Sweet hanging around up there could be handy, ideally we'd love to see Finlayson capture the form he has shown in the past.

As a comparable player, the Bombers do that with Draper. I'd look at other options...

If you’re playing Soldo up forward you are not going to be going well.

That's what we've been hearing for years about Dixon and Marshall.

Dixon and Marshall are far far better forwards than Soldo.

Stunned you’d be backing him in to play forward Booney.

I'm not, just saying we've heard how our forward line has been no good for years.

Sweet would be a far better option up forward than Soldo but Sweets also a better ruckman too.
If Rioli stays fit might be a good chance he can kick 50 goals this year with less reliance on the big men.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

At 204cm he would be a hard match up, as I said previously, hopefully after last season he can add some strings to his bow.

Again, watch Draper, and think of another option! He's slightly taller at 205cm, but a lot of key defenders these days are approaching 200cm anyway.

It's more the lack of forward craft that brings players like this undone, with the speed of the game these days and numbers behind the ball, a big pack mark is pretty unlikely.

Dixon had plenty of critics, but he had forward craft and could regularly kick goals. Teams need a big forward who can ruck, not the other way around.

The days of the bear in the square are as dead as Fitzroy.

That's a pretty good analogy there mate, I do realise that I'm being a little optimistic and hopeful, I did like how Sweet presented himself up forward on the odd occasion last season, I didn't see enough of big Ivan to judge.

Huh? Ive been a fan of his, just dont think we have seen the best of him at Port.

Always thought he would have been a good fit for the Crows and how they play, replacing Tex eventually.

Would be interesting to know what percentage of your goals the past two seasons have come from your forwards and what’s come from the midfield in comparison to other sides.

I would have thought your mids (Butters, Rozee, JHF etc) would have kicked a lot compared to the forwards (Dixon, Marshall, Georgiadis)

I look forward to seeing a new look Port forward line without Marshall + Dixon.

SPP returns, Rioli is still around. Georgiades I think can play as a key forward despite Booney not agreeing. 8)

joe Richards will play i'm sure.. Finlayson is only 28 plenty of life left in him despite looking 40.

Ratugolea played CHF back end of the season, and Horne-Francis could spend more time deep forward.

Been big wraps on Anastasopoulos, have Lord who has shown he can make the grade... Lukosious ready made tall forward (will he play forward??)

I'm excited to see how this Jack Whitlock develops though, could he be a smokey to debut in 2025? He reminds me of Marshall a bit.

Whatever happens, I don't think PA are short of options in the forward half by any stretch.
