I don't care if it's glorified warm up matches for the summer ahead and/or a meaningless late English summer series (I think Nasser or Athers said last night during the pre-game it was the latest finish to and English international summer ever) it's still sweet beating the smug pricks, especially winning on DLS.

Head named man of the series, we are not worthy! Hopefully he continues his current form into the BGT.

Matt Short proving he's a better current option than Fraser-McGurk opening or in any spot.

Only saw this footage last night, but how embarrassing were the Poms trying to stall for time, needed 20 overs to make a game of it and the rain came four balls too late for them :D

Cummins has an ankle injury so if he isn’t going to Sri Lanka why bother going over for a Mickey Mouse comp?

Marnus.......really?

No JFM? No Agar? But one glaring absence is Connolly, would've thought Abbott and Spencer would've gotten a plane ticket too.

Head
Short
Marsh
Smith
Hardie
Inglis
Stoinis
Maxwell
Cummins
Starc
Zampa

Would that be the probable line up with that squad?

I think that’s what the ICC want but it seems a bit of a joke especially when India are calling the shots over where games will be played

I reckon Hardie has batted 8 in the games he has played. I think you have the 11 right, could be Laba instead of Hardie
Not sure how Stoinis keeps getting selected.
Youre right re Connolly, id have in the 11 instead of Stoinis
JFM should just about be in the never again basket, might be a T20 only player, but he would be lucky to be getting a game of Grade cricket atm

Hardie has batted 8 for Aus three times in eleven matches and has also batting 3, 6 and 7.

Agree about Stoinis. He hasn't made an ODI fifty since 2019 and since then averages 17.11 with a strike rate of 93.59. His career average and strike rate are 26.69 and 93.96. He averages 18.4 against spin over his career.

Looking at his bowling since last ODI fifty he averages 40.5 with the ball with a strike rate of 40.9 and economy of 5.93 which is a tiny bit better than his overall career average (43.12), strike rate (43.1) and economy (5.99). He has 48 wickets in 71 ODI's with a best bowling of 3/16.

The right decision was made with Fraser-McGurk, there’s no way he should be playing for Australia given his recent form.

I guess the selectors didn't consider quicks like Abbott, Bartlett and Johnson because of conditions?
