Yep great track, being 15 min from my place I would like to ideally end up getting a membership there. Despite being in the hills the front 9 is pretty flat.

Monthly medal
Played the arvo.
84 off stick with a &@&#&$*$*#*#*$*$* 10 on 8

Edit
Calmed down after the initial frustration of the 10...

Good part was followed it up with back 2 back birdies  on 9 - chipped in and on 10 a 1ft putt

And the arvo players do get the best of the conditions

Now 12.1

49 and 17 points last night with 2 scrubs, played the hard holes (pars on 4,5 & 9) well but stuffed up the easy holes. Was 105m from the green for my 2nd on the 7th hole and took an 8  put 2 balls into the snake pit on 2

Twilight

Added the baffler back to the bag.
Slowed down the swing for more control and it worked beautifully.
Although it went OB on 16 but that was me and the fact it had a draw to go in there I wasn't completely unhappy.
Then on 17 hit it straight into trees that separate 16/17. Anyway tried to hack it out and it ends up hitting a tree and then landing in branches of another  wasn't the easiest to get too and felt like teeball and had to hit it left handed which isn't a problem.. that was an adventure.
Anyway baffler lives to fight another day and gets another chance on the weekend

TTG
Course is in extremely good condition.
Can see why there's a waiting list.
As for the golf.
It was PAR comp
-3 after 9 and finished at -3

Driver was solid. Tried something I saw about teeing ball low, aim left and swing and the ball should fade.
Did slice 2 but overall happy enough.
Short irons were good.
Putting was atrocious... had 42 putts  greens were so slow....
Still a good walk

Only played TTG once, was at the Norwood FC golf day, good lay out imo

Played twice over the weekend, both F9 at the Vines, 43 for 22pts on Friday night (12 putts helped a lot) and 46 for 19pts yesterday - with a hangover.

Still not hitting the irons well, but rest of game in good shape currently.

Started well
13pts after 6.
OB on 7. Scrub
Lost ball on 8. Scrub
On trees on 9 Scrub
2hrs 20 for front 9
Then a member in our group tells us we need to keep up... yet we were on pace with group in front. Group in front fell a hole behind.
4.5hrs for stableford   that's appalling

Twilight
Back 9
Horrible start.
Came good last 2 holes where the 7w saved the day leading to getting Par last 2 holes.

New accessory arrived today.
Forecast will depend if it gets a run

I'm doing the Royal & Glenelg double in January.

Looks like you'll only have 17 holes at the Glenelg day, 8 and 9 will be out with 19th in from the 6th Jan, redevelopment strikes again. Doing 8-9 together with 6-7 after that it should be done next year finally. Played with a couple of guys yesterday at the Grange day and it came up.

Speaking of, I've never seen Grange in such bad condition, greens were terrible. Lots of work needed to get it ready for LIV.

Have to say, lots of members were thinking the same around the time you wrote this, were never going to get it ready for LIV. This morning though was the best course has looked for ages. LIV asked for harder and faster greens this year and they certainly are. With three weeks to go and course closed a week before it is going to be in amazing condition once again!

Great to hear. The LIV holes weren't too bad, it was a couple on the front 9 that were really rough.

Looking forward to LIV, who knows how many more we'll get if the PGA ever sort out the PIF agreement.
