From the very small sample size so far, doesn’t appear to have the technique, nor temperament to succeed at Test level. That said, a long T20 and perhaps One Day career beckons.

His ‘match awareness’ also has a lot to be desired. Is he playing for himself first, second and third, and to hell with the team? Dunno, can’t read his mind.

Yeah looks it’s obvious he can wind it in a tad but let’s be honest it’s rare to make it at any level of elite sport without a fair chunk of self belief. Not digging on the bloke but it’s a better starting point than say McSweeney who ‘appeared’ to lack any form of confidence to play at test level.
Good to see him sitting there next to Pat Cummins. I’m sure being around these blokes is going to increase his development at a rapid rate.
