Rishabh didn’t realise he was going to a paintball session when he headed to the crease …

To be fair, he’s a good sized target.

Of course, he could have avoided all this by using his bat.

Have the selectors not learnt anything??
If theyre going to go back to Handscombe they may as well blood Cooper Connolly, handy left arm spin, looks a real nice prospect with the bat as long as its at no6. Whoever it is unlikely to play anyway. Surely we're not picking Handscomb because he's got nothing better to do atm?

Handscomb started pretty well in test cricket, did ok in India in 2017 which from there he was seen as a bit of a sub continent specialist but once he was dropped in the 2017/18 Ashes and then came back into the test team post sandpaper gate he's never really had a huge impact despite being a very consistent Sheffield Shield and County Championship run scorer. He'd be an insurance pick and probably won't play like you said and I tend to agree with you in that I wouldn't mind if the selectors look to the future somewhat for the Sri Lankan tour.

One thing I want to happen for the Sri Lankan tour is Kuhnemann being selected and playing, which looks likely.

Well it's all those runs they've been scoring.... you know, going at 2 runs per over slows down the bowlers....

But yeah, the Aussies will say the ball lodged in the sight screen, Pant getting the magic spray, and the umpire review of the smith catch cost us 8 of those 10 overs....

Not playing his natural game.
It's felt strange to watch, I keep waiting for him to play an attacking/stupid shot.

Gutsy bloody innings.

Going to wait until we've batted before making judgment on Pants innings but 40 might not be a bad score after 20 wickets.

Thats kind of what i was thinking...

BTW Webster has been impressive with the ball, albeit appears a bowler who will need a bit in the surface.

The use of Webster today only confirms that Marsh wasnt fit for the last 3 Tests. Got picked on the good bloke policy for all of them

Boland got the wickets but the way Webster bowled at the other end contributed significantly.

Absolutely. He has looked good with the ball, dont have to bowl 140 to be serviceable
