Not happening today, need 315 in 73 overs.

Who knows, this may be over by tea.

Agree now that it is far less likely but still stand by my comment from 30 min ago that an Indian win was a realistic possibility based on the depth of their tail and past performances against the same attack that's four years older (replace Hazelwood with Boland).
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

On another point I cant remember an Australian 'keeper with the kahunas to stand up to the stumps to the quicks as much as Carey. Yes Marsh is no longer a quick.

Need good hands and technique to do that, helps bring the LBW into play.

Not saying others haven't done it but not as frequently as Alex

Yes, it’s impressive to be able to stand up to the stumps, but for whatever pros there are, there’s the con that a caught behind is much more difficult.

Can be good tactic if the batsman is batting out of the crease though.

I guess the positive is that the Aussies are trying a few different things to make something happen, instead of allowing things to just roll on.

Kohli not so chirpy now, might be worth ‘chatting’ to him …

That said, can never underestimate him, has been amazing for a very long time.

He just can't help himself with that wider 5/6th stump line outside off stump and he just keeps nicking them.

He let the previous ball go in the same spot, but as you say, in the end couldn’t help himself.

As Boof said on the ABC, India are just wanting to get to tea 2-3 down and 200 to get in 40 overs, they'll then turn it into a glorified T20.

India playing smart here.

No mate, they’re not getting these runs …

India chased down 327 four years ago at brisbane seven down in 97 overs. They were 3/183 at tea. The started the last day at 0/4 two overs in.

As I said if they are 2-3 down at tea 340 in 92 overs isnt that much of a stretch.

The two wickets after I made my initial post now makes it that much harder for them.
As I said early, this defensive mindset won't work for many of the Indian batsmen. Jaiswal looks like a completely different player at the moment.

They either play there shots and make the runs or get out.

As we all know, DRS is there to get rid of the howler not the 50:50.

Umpire made a close judgement call DRS verified that it was close (based on the assumption that the ball tracking is correct after it has hit the pad).

Not as bad as Wilson's non call at Headingly in 2019 after we burnt our last review the over before...
