The fascination of putting mint sauce on lamb.

I won a meat tray Friday night and cooked up the lamb chops in it, only to taste the dousing of mint sauce.

I know, as any food gourmet worth his salt will tell you, any good roast (lamb especially) should be smothered in tomato sauce!!

Mint sauce is ok, but the meat doesn't need to be showered in it

The ex and her kids used to put a mountain of roast lamb on their plates, drown it with mint sauce and eat about half of it, couldn't even use the left overs for lunches etc.

They'd actually go and get seconds of things before they got close to finishing their plate, it drove me bonkers...................and they were adults.

As a kid my Nan used to force me to eat parsnips and pumpkin with most meals and rhubarb was often used as dessert. All of them home grown in their sizeable veggie patch.
Have not touched any of those since I was a kid and still have nightmares just thinking of them.
