Go again tonight, early in the week round due to Cricket making me unavailable later on.

Hate that green, the ball goes up the hill

It is a strange one, I find the front of the green slopes to the front right corner while the back of the green slopes towards the clubhouse, this is despite it looking like it it flat.

What do you do off the tee on this hole? I find driver, if hit well, isn't the play as you run out of fairway. Lately Ive been hitting my 2 iron at the water with a slice to bring it back onto the fairway*

*doesn't always work how I imagine it

That's how I played it in August.
When I trusted my Draw.
I'd aim at the stobie pole in the distance, not the first one.
If started on 10 and not hitting well, still aimed up the right with hybrid or 6i.
Top of the hill leaves you 150m in.

How'd you play on Sunday?
Started like a house on fire and then ran into the slow groups on front, apparently taking 5 practice swings per shot makes you play better!

Ended up with 32, look forward to comparing scores in a couple of weeks Image

I'm guessing his good shots would have been really good.

Monthly medal

Started ok
Putting was ordinary
45 front 9 (Started 10)
Playing ok back 9.
Found a few bunkers but got out .
Get to the 8th.
Drive up into trees which was ok. Aimed up there, wind pushing left to right towards hazard.
Punch out a 6i.
Leave myself 140m odd in rough on right.
Punch 6i and into bunker.
First one goes nowhere. Second one ends up in front of a tree at the base. Have to hit back to the 9th tee....
1 putt 9.
43 back 9.

88 overall.

Played Sunday night F9, started with 1 point from the first 3 holes and lost my shit at one point  pulled it back to finish with 15 points with pars on 6,7 & 8.

Rolled out last night and played the B9, finally found some form and was 3 over after 6 holes, including a birdie on the 13th (going down the 9th :D ) completely butchered 16 & 17 but got 20 points in the bank, best Ive played for a looooong time, hopefully things are turning.

Time for the annual 'let's have a safooty golf day' post...

I'm sure most of us have some time off over the xmas/ny period. I'm happy to arrange something at Royal West Lakes if we can get a commitment from enough of us
