Heard they have lost Burnett, Adey, Robinson, Ward and a couple others
Not sure if gained any

Unsure if all gone because the new coach, Burnett moved interstate for work, Ward nothing to do with the coach.

I can confirm Jack is the coach. Not sure about the guys mentioned above but the club has told us of 5 signings so far. Won’t name names because I’ve only seen it in the internal group chats.

Salisbury announcement of Tahana is up on their facebook page, i guess they had to wait until Pooraka deleted there's
David Ward will be a handy inclusion
I guess the main question around Tahana will be how often he is available
Gaza i believe signed a few Broadview blokes but they don't seem to be announcing anyone
I believe Lachlan Price is back at Greenacres and at least 1 salisbury North B grader but unsure of name
Looks like it should be a very tight comp and no easy games

This is absolutely gold
I'm hearing there is even more to this story still....

Gaza haven't recruited any Broadview players. A bulk of the players in are returning seniors and juniors from 2023. Plus a handful of others.
There's also a stack of players that have come that will fill out the B&C grades. A fair turnaround in the space of 6 months. Downie has done an amazing job in rebuilding the senior group.
Agreed that this div will be very competitive and deep.

Ward will be almost a liability on their home deck. Refuses to defend, just wants the ball in hand. Opposition half decent planning will have them kicking to his opponent in the front half on his big deck. And then the ankle will play up...

Was best on at Salisbury in 2023, Elizabeth oval in 2023 and Salisbury Oval again in 2024. The measliest defence last year should be able to provide adequate cover for his short comings defensively if it means getting his ball use and great personality around the place. After his mammoth knock Saturday he was sprouting it’s the best the Foot, Ankle, Toe, Strings, Body, Mind and Soul has ever felt! 334* if you haven’t heard ;)

That's some knock! Good on him.

Not sure about the best on stats. Not listed in any except for the Minor Round game at Salisbury in 2023, and why would he have played at Salisbury Oval in 2024?

2022-2023, Don’t read into ‘best players’ plenty of blokes are under rated internally. As per your posts it’s clear Ward was.

I'm not internal at Greenacres by some margin, but have seen plenty of him live and on footage.

His kicking can be a weapon for Salisbury if they defend for him, but my point was that you can score against him if you set the game up well enough.

Harry Westhoff to Marion. He was a very good junior at Westies. If he can get up to full speed he'll be huge in Div 5.

Looks a tough division at face value..

Without any certainty (or really any idea):

1. Eastern Park
2. Marion
3. Pulteney
4. Salisbury
5. Portland
----------------------------
6. Trinity OS
7. Pooraka
8. Greenacres
9. Gaza
10. Woodville South

Wouldn't surprise me if I was miles off track with the bottom 5.

Looks a super comp. And if Ryder to Portland comes to be (rumoured to be at West Croydon this time last year) they jump 5 spots.

How? What have you seen out of Woody South that I don’t know.
