Power very easy to read, do no favours for SANFL clubs at all.
The reason for Rome sliding to the magpies is that it allegedly gives Rome more chance of being AFL drafted.
How long is he allowed to stay at the magpies in the hope he might be drafted.
After three years they should be shunted back th their original SANFL club.
SANFL clubs nurture them and then shat on.

It's pretty obvious these kids aren't AFL standard, I see Atkinson from Sturt has gone down the same path at the Crows.
It's a shameless grab at filling their reserves teams with the alure of "developing" in an AFL environment.

Can polish a turd all day long, at the end of the day it's just a shiny turd.

Give him time, Rome wasn’t built in a day. :-s

I think they could say don’t bust yourself in the time trail, easy yourself in. They knew what he can do.

Darren ‘Fud’ Jarman played ‘fat’ for a lot of career … did alright but.

Has let himself go slightly of late, could have possibly swallowed a whale or 3.

Has anyone been able to get an answer as to why the SANFL players taken by the AFL clubs can only play reserves for the original club if not selected at the AFL club?
Not much of an issue with the young lads but for someone like McLennan it doesnt help his "development"

Shae Linke headed to Port next season. He was planning on returning to the Dogs, which Port became aware of. And because he was at Tanunda last year, he is not a designated Bulldog (which would have protected us from losing a second over 21 aged player).

Do you really want someone from an opposition side playing for your team?

Thats disappointing that Linke isn't coming back to the dogs. He would've complimented the team nicely. Centrals still in a good spot with the recruits that have come in so far and getting back East and M. Lochowiak back from injury

Agree - they must be trying this century
They have lost 2 Grand Finals by less than a kick [ NW 2013 by 4 points - ST 2017 by 1 point]
Made a 3rd GF on 2019 and lost to GL

It was a handshake agreement between clubs that any 18-21 yo not selected for the crows or magpies SANFL team would only be allowed to play at reserves level at his home team to stop disruption and ill feeling because of the relegation/inclusion issue.

I don't really understand this. It's part of the idiotic written agreement and rules, not just a "handshake" agreement. Including for the over 21s. I'll never understand how they gave concessions to afl reserves teams, to the detriment of legitimate sanfl sides. Particularly to a team that's made 3 GFs, since their inclusion.
Never used to be much of an issue with ill feeling etc. Under the old system when players weren't playing AFL.
