As of right now, Carey, Head and McSweeney are the top three scorers in this innings.

Form is everything... Carey was the ONLY one of our batsmen (discounting McSweeney) who was in form leading up to this test match.
We legitimately have no decent batsmen in Oz atm.

I dont care what form a batter is in coming into this match. Under these conditions and the bowling as good as it is it's simply unrealistic to expect batters to come out and strutt their stuff.
Will concede tho that with a few dismissals the batters didn't help themselves with their footwork or lack thereof ?

Smith has made a mountain of runs over his career with his unique style of batting but his back and across method is now being found out as maybe he loses his sharpness as he gets older.

If you're referring to McSweeney you have to be joking surely?

Never looked out as appeared to strike him clearly outside the line of off stump.
Umpire gave it Not Out
Indians took until 1 second to go before they reviewed it as obviously worried it was hitting outside off.
I must admit i was gobsmacked when DRS indicated it hit in line
No doubt was going onto hit the stumps but im calling BS on DRS in this instance

Plumb ? I think not

Spot on JJ, plus don't forget about the alterations to Kookaburra Ball with the seam being more pronounced has made a difference in not just test cricket but Shield cricket too.

His style only worked because of his amazing eye for the ball.
Now that's not as good as it was. He missed the delivery today by a long way.

Bumrah, unbelievable.

If Smith and Marnus don’t turn their form around, we’re stuffed.

I think it’s now 21 innings without a century for Smith. The longest since he took 23 to get his 1st. Marnus is 18 innings and Khawaja 23 innings since a century.

I think the batting line up looks unbalanced without Warner. I’d be tempted to switch Marsh and Marnus.
