Its brilliant, I went and saw it in the cinema and the sound was incredible.

Its only in recent years I've understood how big they were overseas, one of the few aussie bands to genuinely crack it outside our borders.

Indeed; I never realised that the seppoes had heard of the band.
I was bemused to see Peter Garret's mug appear on the picture in this thread... viewtopic.php?f=42&t=43274
Also, that "Beds Are Burning" got a mention in Ernest Cline's homage to 80s pop culture, "Ready Player One".

Heads up to anyone going to see Pearl Jam tonight!

We ask attendees hold off from traveling to the venue at this time.

Enjoy, jealous of you both!
Although I'm going to see Dropkick Murphy's Friday night and then Crowded House on Saturday night if everything goes to plan. I've never seen Crowded House before so very much looking forward to it.

Pearl Jam. Wow.

Hitting the stage at 8:15 on a balmy Melbourne evening Vedder is taken back by the sea of people greeting him, 28,000 on the oval and 3 levels packed.

2 hours and 25 minutes later, after 25 songs and one of the most amazing visual displays I've seen we leave with some incredible memories. Perfect night, amazing performance and display.

Ten out of Ten. :supz:

You jest, but there is nuance to each table we play on. Some are fast and have cushions that are alive, some are slow with dead cushions, others have hungry open pockets and two we play on a tight pockets with no room for error.

Our table is probably the most forgiving when it comes to pockets being open but it's fast, lots off in offs that people don't expect when potting balls.

The biggest advantage of playing at home is $8 imperials from 5-8pm.

I don't doubt that at all, it always takes a couple of games to learn the table, like when paying night owls, I tried playing at Clearview for a couple of seasons and there were many times I went too long as it was hard wicket.
