The Central District Football Club is thrilled to announce the signing of Kobe Annand, a talented ruckman from Werribee (VFL).

Standing at an impressive 200 cm and weighing 100 kg, the 23-year-old Annand brings power and skill to our club. He’s shown his prowess with 32 VFL games over the past two seasons. Although he missed this year's premiership team due to a suspension in the opening final, his impact on the field is undeniable.

Known for his athleticism and competitiveness, Kobe also has a strong forward presence, adding flexibility and depth to our list. His family’s legacy at Central District runs deep—his grandfather, Rod O’Connor, was a respected defender at the Kennel in the late 1960s and early '70s. Just as Rod made his mark with his grit and determination, we look forward to Kobe carrying on that tradition.

Football Manager Mark Ross shared his thoughts, saying, “Kobe is a high-quality individual who thrives on physical contests. He's constantly analyzing his game and looking for ways to beat his opponent.”

Annand is eager to elevate his game and views the SANFL as a great opportunity to showcase his skills and continue his family’s legacy with the Dogs.

We warmly welcome Kobe and his partner, Kayla, to the Ponderosa.

Hmmm, Annand choosing the coin over success.

Sour grapes? Me? Have you not been paying attention the last few years?
We had him as a guest at our B & F, so I guess we were interested. Good luck to the lad.

I don't imagine we're paying him much (hope we're not). His "stats" for what it's worth are a bit underwhelming, though better than Pickerings.

Oh the arrogance... 3 years into a decent run and making up for a legacy as SANFLs least successful club.
