If torp isn't talking rubbish about the $1000 a game for BOG at Viginia you'd expect some Sals. Nth. players to go there. Sals. Nth. players are used to getting money and that club has a massive footy slut rep. Jordan and Cutting are guns and would easily clock up a few BOGs at Virginia.

That makes no sense at all torp! Did you make up the $1000, is it a rumour you didn't start or is it official? Are you trying to say Greg Phillips is your coach? Make sense please.

This makes as much sense as your last rant. I think we are all to assume not only that Virginia can't play but that they are unintelligible morons.

So...Torp...

You're claiming Greg Phillips will be coach next year. He'll be bringing some players with him, and if you're good enough you can get $1000 for playing.

Just thought I'd put it in English...

Rumour on here that Dean Cutting and Shane Jordan were going to Two Wells. Che would surely not have been on $1000, not worth it especially if he can't rock up to the GF. Are you on the committee torp, is the $1000 thing true or just hype, yes or no answers would be great.

There is no way that United FC would pay a 1000 to a player let alone CC, Wanganeen played his game for nothing, and Che would have been paid within the club's policy, which does = $1000.

If Virigina FC want to throw $1000 out for their best play, then good for them, if that can attract players to their club.. Great!, But there would be alot of preasure on the guys who actually pick the Best Players, and we all know that you dont get the same guys week in week picking them.

I agree with Start, there is no way Longies would have payed Cocky $1000 a game, thats about $150 a kick. I very much doubt any club could justify that sort of money within the APFL. The big money that is thrown around you would reserve for a true gun midfielder who gets 35 to 40 touches a game, every game, or a key forward kicking 6+ per game or a Captain/Coach do something similar. I know even Matt Oliver who is a genuine 100 goal a season player (600+ goals for Balak in 5 years) is on around $600 a game at Waikerie, for an extra $400 the player would have to be a superstar in our league.

Not sure, he works for a farmer near Balaklava and was travelling up there each week. He was doubtfull to return there this season, was not going to play anywhere was what I heard, Balak had a crack at getting him back but then Waikerie made him a better offer and he went back.

I will ask him next time I see him. Great footballer, top bloke.
