The top 3 divisions are all club A grade sides with Div 4 a mix which includes sals west who was a div 2 side last season. Unfortunately this then makes it a 10 one dayers and 5 two dayers. im a bit disappointed in this as we lose more two day games. The current system i thought worked well although the div 1 comp was really only the top 4 sides who were competitive. This comp is on the slide and the league needs to look at club development to arrest this issue.

Speak to Two Wells and Sandy Creek about the competition deteriorating. They monopolise the good players and poach from other clubs by throwing ridiculous money around. Worked for Two Wells though......bought their flag last season and only after Salisbury West lost 5 of their players.
6 team comp and 10 one dayers ? There needs to be bonus points if that is the case. For example, the top side bowls the bottom side out for 50.....gets them in 6 or 7 overs....where is the advantage in bowling first and smashing a side that way ?

I know two well threw the cash but sandy creeks cash is based on perform and recieve the benefits and is availble to everyone in the side not just different individuals. Plus the only players they recruited over the last couple of years are two from two wells and hadns from para teachers who were getting relagated anyway and he wanted to stay in div 1. so youre a bit off the mark re Sandy.
I thinks they are looking at no performance points for one dayers

Yeah, I'm sure Bomber and Billy left Two Wells to play at Sandy Creek for the love of the game ? Come on dude. You have to realise that people know things that they shouldn't.
And performance based incentives you say ? Other clubs dont pay those kinds of incentives I can assure you. I know for a fact Salisbury West players were playing for nothing......make a hundred and you'd be lucky to get $10. $40 had to be divided out for best players each game.

Not really.....Only Two Wells and Sandy Creek seem to be "buying" players with silly money. I know there is some under the table stuff at both clubs but Sandy seem to have a structured performance based payments such as making a hundered is $100 and so on. Two Wells was similar in the fact that they had sign on payments plus incentives such as 400 runs was $400 and $1 per run after that....
Sandy got a flag out of it after they caught Salisbury West on a bad day after 21 straight wins. Billy Fuller had an outstanding game for them but I reckon if Westies could've made another 30, it would've been too much.
Two Wells finally got one after Salisbury West lost 5 players and Sandy lost a couple.....couldn't buy one when both sides were at full strength.

sounds a bit bitter after how many GF losses westies, dont bag the clubs that are proactive and financial to do this. Footy clubs do so why cant cricket and under the table stuff at sandy, you obviously live on ramsey st and listen to much rumours and gossip
