In a squad of 25. Obviously 3 players in that 25 squad will be trimmed. I believe Panos should play but don't ask me who should be the unlucky player to be dropped to make way for him.

Might have this song playing on my way to the ground this weekend: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-09-20/greg-champion-thats-what-i-like-about-football-historic-feature/103610414

Hopefully we go better than when I had the cassingle on repeat on the way to Footy Park for the 1994 elimination final....

Glenelg will be wearing their gold guernsey with the black V. The only other GF we’ve worn it in was 1934 8)

I'm thinking Panos will start on the bench and come on mid-way into the first (earlier if we aren't converting opportunities), and in the goal square, for sure. Gale, Graham, and an unfortunate Morris to miss out.

My concern is that we'll be a little slow to get going, but of course I hope I'm way off the mark and we're 'on' from the opening siren.

Glenelg's to lose; them by 30-ish points.

Tall fw line. If Heard, Binder, Callow, Twelf, Panos etc. Morris has to play.

Get the washing machine going FFS

Binder taken out of goalscorer markets?????

Top of the table all year, freshened after another extra week’s rest, against a banged up opponent who’ve never beaten Norwood in a GF.

On the face of it, Norwood seem to be taking an unnecessary risk with Panos, hope he gets through unscathed … but has a shit game. :D

So taking in all the expert comments here, this could be embarrassing for norwood... hopefully for them it's not North 89 and they have more than 1 goal in mind

Don't forget Port's 1 goal 6 behinds in 1905. Still the lowest score in a South Australian Grand Final.
Also I am suprised no one has mentioned the last time Norwood and Glenelg met in a Grand Final. It was probably the most controversial lead up to a Grand Final in history.
In the second semi final, Norwood had 19 men on the field for some time at the start of the last quarter. Unlike in 2018, the TV commentary picked up the mistake. For a day after the final it was suggested Port should protest, but John Cahill said that he would hate to win a game that way.
The next weekend though, John Cahill didn't mind sending out David Granger to create havoc whilst Port were well behind. It was one of the most infamous displays in the history of the SANFL.
It of course meant that Glenelg were so badly banged up that they were no chance in the Grand Final.
