Ask any footy groupie, an extra two inches makes all the difference!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Hasn't been in the team for a while so maybe that's a reason they are back winning.

So, because it's a slow day, I did some digging. I compared Stringer's output to McCreery, Mihocek, Hoskin-Elliot & Schultz. I think he could replace any of these players in the Collingwood line up, easily.

I looked at stats I thought were relevent to a general forward. Goals, points, disposals, inside 50s, tackles (apparently it's essential ), goal assists and one percenters. All stats came from AFL Tables.

Now, I had to look at a per game basis, because old fat & slow Jakey played the most games, 23 out of 23. McCreery had 17, Mihocek 11, HE had 20 and Schultz also had 20.

So, the Package's numbers were (per game in brackets):
Goals - 42 (1.8 )
Points - 23 (1.1)
Possessions - 291 (12.7)
I50s - 74 (3.2)
Tackles - 58 (2.5)
Goal assists - 13 (0.6)
One percenters - 27(1.2)

Fairly handy return, also finished 13th in the Coleman.

So, to the contenders, I'll bold where their output was higher:
Spud McCreery (17 games)
Goals - 10 (0.6)
Points - 10 (0.6)
Possessions - 173 (10.2)
I50s - 45 (2.6)
Tackles - 84 (4.9)
Goal assists - 8 (0.5)
One percenters - 13 (0.8 )

Jacky Boy Mihocek (11 games)
Goals - 19 (1.7)
Points - 13 (1.2)
Possessions - 114 (10.2)
I50s - 28 (2.5)
Tackles - 29 (2.6)
Goal assists - 3 (0.3)
One percenters - 11 (1.0)

Skinny Will HE (20 games)
Goals - 17 (0.9)
Points - 13 (0.7)
Possessions - 250 (12.5)
I50s - 37 (1.9)
Tackles - 26(1.3)
Goal assists - 14 (0.7)
One percenters - 37 (1.9)

Tubsy Schultz (20 games)
Goals - 24 (1.2)
Points - 21 (1.1)
Possessions - 243 (12.2)
I50s - 41 (2.1)
Tackles - 76 (3.8 )
Goal assists - 4 (0.2)
One percenters - 23 (1.2)

Interesting reading, I think

Yep, they all apply forward pressure where Stringer, once ball is 5m away heading outwards he conserves his energy and heads back to goals.

Ah yes, pressure acts. Thanks to the AFL website, we can see Stringer averages 14.2 per game. More than Mihocek (9.1) & Hoskin-Elliot (10.7), but less than Schultz (16.8 ) & McCreery (18.1).

Him and Damo have been banging on about it for ages. I just can't understand why the Suns would want him, he looks past it.

Jack Martin had a fall from grace, that really didn’t work out for Carlton

Cannot see him being picked up by another team

Edit, didn’t realise he is 29 too
