There has always been a strong link, Rudi, Chopper Handley, McCabe, Clarkson, there has been more but they escape me at the moment.

I know people treat you like you’re a moron.

That Port logo on your avatar would at least suggest that at one stage you were a Port supporter.

The Carlton logo would tend to indicate that you lacked the courage to stick with your team.

I for one would not treat you like a moron.

Morons are smarter.

Kornes giving it to Butters about going off with sore ribs.

It is a little odd that the tough nut that he is couldn't play through it.
But the other argument, if port were that worried at half time, considering the Petracca saga, should they have sent him off to hospital?

We prefer to be the underdog story, aka Average Joe's Dodgeball.

I've managed to deal with heartbreaks of supporting AFL teams, I barracked for Geelong in the late 80's until Port joined, if it wasn't for one of my best mates playing for Port as a mature aged recruit in their inaugural season I'd still be barracking for Geelong or perhaps Adelaide (Malcolm Blight is my footballing idol).

The Blight era for Geelong was brutal, 3 GF losses, then Ayres followed suit in 95.

1989 arguably the greatest battle that ever took place on a football field.

This one popped up in my feed this week.

11 years old but I recon after last week's performance the first two minutes of this video is very relevant.

-Don't shirk the contest.
-Work rate
-Win

I get the modern game has moved past the coaching style of the 1990s, but I wouldn't mind this being played to our team a few times this week before Friday's final.

THERE was one team across the semi-finals that was clearly the youngest and least experienced – and it wasn't Hawthorn.

Port Adelaide's side that held off the Hawks at Adelaide Oval was on average the youngest and had the fewest games played across the do-or-die clashes, as Power coach Ken Hinkley's call to back in youth paid off.

This surprised me, so I looked into it a little.

According to AFL Tables, Port were 25y 37d old, Hawthorn were 25y 48d old.

11 days isn't exactly 'clearly the youngest' imo.

Furthermore, if you take the weighted average of the 22 playing at any one time, rather than the overall 23 (ie: count the subs as one player not two), you actually get the Port side as 195 days older than the Hawks.
