Only for the new recruits to potentially given to either the crows or the power,

"A 12-person SANFL working group will in the next month finalise the concessions that Port and Adelaide will be offered before it is ratified by the SA Football Commission.
The group includes SANFL chief executive Darren Chandler, executive general manager football Matthew Duldig, SA Football Commissioners and three club CEO’s – Sturt’s Sue Dewing, North Adelaide’s Craig Burton and Central District’s Greg Edwards."

Would Central supporters be happy if Port or the crows rolled up to the club & took Dittmar next year? Or Sharpe?
Should our CEO be on a panel/working group that is there to assist in making rival clubs stronger??
Is this a conflict of interest?
This still includes the mid-season draft!!

Wouldn't the CEO be in the best position possible to oppose the concessions going too far?

Going too far? Why would they approve any further concessions anyway?? Port have played in 3 grand finals, whilst we've played in none. If our CEO wants to strengthen the crows and port he probably should go.

100% agree

Maybe I have missed something?

My understanding is that the AFL Clubs are seeking concessions namely with a proposal where they can recruit players from other SANFL Clubs (max of one from each Club).
None of us would want this.
The SANFL have put in place a working party to discuss this proposal, and, I would hope, resist this or at least water it right down.
Knowing that this working party was being established, wouldn't we want our CEO (who is not an AFL lackey) on that group? Surely it's more beneficial than having no representation at all?

Doubt the club would be aware of what is posted on here.Greg Edwards has done a great job making the club a lot better than we were,
However he is paid well to represent OUR CLUB and no one else.If he helps in Port & the Crows becoming stronger at the expense of us losing players ,then he needs to front the board, coaches, players and members and tell us how that decision will help us

Greg Edward’s was the CEO at North who steered the club into voting for the inclusion of the AFL reserves.

I'm not too concerned with who we lose, it's who we replace them with that matters most,
the club knows what sort of players we need to win the flag,
this is the best part of the season,
it's exciting!

Need to recruit some players with polish and elite ball use. We don't have a problem getting the ball out or getting clearances its just wasted a huge percentage of the time. I feel sorry for the forwards. Some games they stopped leading because the ball was getting blasted over their heads when they did lead. Only takes 1 or 2 with polish to go the whole way.

Dyson Sharpe will now get taken by either the power or the crows,
thank you SANFL (& those involved) for bending over again.

I hate the current situation and want to see the AFL reserves out of the SANFL BUT the big picture issues is that i would have no doubt Dyson Sharp would prefer to play for the Power or the Crows than playing for Centrals.

Cannot blame Dyson for one second but the biggest issue facing the SANFL is that a fair portion of the players are only in the SANFL as a 'potential' steppingstone.

And now every club will have the awkward mess of players not signing contracts until the very last minute.

What about this though:

KEY AFL CLUB LIST REGULATIONS FROM 2025

Talent Development List (up to 8 players) introduced for both AFL clubs:
* Players must be aged under 21 on January 1
* 1 per SANFL club at any time (per AFL club)
* 6 players total from SANFL clubs (per AFL club) and 2 from interstate

Would he be eligible for the 4 week stint after the u18 champs?
