And here I am thinking this will be a more even contest with SL having a decent batting line up, Karunaratne, Mathews, Chandimal and Dhananjaya de Silva all average over 40 from 50+ tests each.Armchair expert wrote:Bring back the Windies!

When I read that and watched the highlights this morning I thought it wasn't the worst result for SL having to open with spin, they're at least forced to try something different to counteract Bazball.locky801 wrote:The Dark Knight wrote:Stumps day one

Interesting last 80 minutes played in bad light.
Last 15 overs of SL innings they faced the spinners and the 4 over Engl faced also from spinners due to bad light.
Cudos to both captains for playing on after umpires had suggested they call it quits early
Gotta love the light metres these days, they place them on the top of the stumps at either end to get a reading

Poor Chandimal would of never expected the delivery he got on a day one English wicket.locky801 wrote:The Dark Knight wrote:When I read that and watched the highlights this morning I thought it wasn't the worst result for SL having to open with spin, they're at least forced to try something different to counteract Bazball.locky801 wrote:The Dark Knight wrote:Stumps day one

Waiting with interst to see how the pitch plays today, some balls basically rolled yesterday
