You could see with his body language last year he was cooked mentally from the AFL grind, certainly has the ability at the level but if your head and heart aren't in it....this was solely his decision (mind you the club hasn't announced it)

Someone on SEN said he was at the cricket on the weekend and was talking to him said his back and leg was no good for the rigors of AFL

I guess this shuts up the WA clubs about the extra home game for SA clubs in gather round. AFL always find a way.

I’m not sure what the deal is when Tassie enters the comp in a few years. I’d imagine the Tassie government money used for North and the Hawks will be taken away from them and used on the Tassie team so perhaps North saw the writing on the wall and looked at other options

Its an excellent move to replace the tassie income, we have a good supporter base in the West, gives 2 extra games back in Melbourne for the members and every other year we play twice in Perth anyway.
