I'm not sure age of your list is necessarily a bad thing.

The health of the list is a clearer marker.
Ours is terrible, but improving.

I think Pendles and Steele's time is up at the end of this year.

We didn't have the fit cattle to go back to back.

I don't think we have much draft capital either with McGuanes lad coming through.
Interesting times ahead.

13 players on the list 28 or older on the oldest list in the competition.

I'd happily take that as a supporter

I would agree if the players nearing the end weren't so important and/or some of them still have their best football ahead of them.

Some real keys in the list below who probably have their best behind them or at least may have problems getting back to it.

De Goey, Moore, Cameron, McStay - 28
Crisp, Hoskin-Elliott, Mitchell - 30
Mihocek, Elliott - 31
Cox, Sidebottom, Howe - 33
Pendlebury - 36

And like Port, no first round pick this year ( gave it to Fremantle for Schultz ).

Pendles to play on in 2025.

Not sure that's in the best interest of the club.
His experience is invaluable but his off the mark pace means he can be exploited around stoppages.

Not sure where I sit with this decision.

The club might be after Boomer's record, although that would see him going into 2026 you'd think

Holding his spot? Not many making a case to push him out of the side.

Yeah I agree. Fin Mac can't seem to hold his own at the level. Ed Allen hasn't come on.
Ned Long looks ok ish. Not sure about Sullivan and Bytel just yet.

Port looking the goods

Should get a decent deal for Houston, wasn't there talk of Bergman possibly on the move last year? I hope we don't lose either but I don't like our chances of retaining Houston.

Our list doesn't need a lot of replenishing mate, our core is still under 26 ( listed it on here several times so not doing it again ) so missing a draft or two when our list management has been very good isn't a huge concern.

If* we lost Houston then it would be a 1st rounder + top 30 minimum, we'd try for 2 x 1st and rightly so. He's exactly the type of risk we've taken in the past to get into the 1st round ( Wingard, Howard, Duursma to name a few ) but I hope like hell we don't move him on.

Having said that Logan Austin would give them great confidence to move him out and if GWS' Harry Perryman has agreed to come over he's no Houston but like for like as in half back with a good leg.

Bergman signed a new deal at the end of last year for 2 years taking him to the end of 2025 and 6 years service so a non free agent, we'd need to accept a trade for him or PSD.

Agreed, 4 inside 24 in a draft said to have a really good top 20.

Collingwood get Lachie Schultz. Fremantle receive Pick 34 and the Magpies’ future first-round pick.

Idiots.
